USNews “US News and World Report” released the “2022 World University Rankings”. The list includes 1,750 universities from 90 countries around the world. A total of 289 universities in China (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) are shortlisted, ranking first in the world in number. Among them, Tsinghua University and Peking University are both shortlisted in the top 50, ranking 26th and 45th on the list respectively.

According to the USNews2022 Chinese University Rankings, a total of 289 universities in China (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) are shortlisted, and the number of universities on the list ranks first in the world, an increase of 83 universities year-on-year. Among them, there were 253 in Mainland China and 36 in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, an increase of 77 and 6 universities respectively compared with the previous year.
Specifically, Tsinghua University and Peking University continue to make progress, and both rank among the top 50 on the list. Among them, Tsinghua University improved 2 places, ranking 26th on the list, and Peking University improved 6 places, ranking 45th on the list, both of which created their best results in the list.
In addition, 9 universities including Shanghai Jiaotong University, University of Science and Technology of China, Zhejiang University, Nanjing University, Fudan University, Sun Yat-Sen University, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Hunan University rank among the top 200 in the world.
