At present in my country, UHV refers to the voltage levels of AC 1000kV and DC ±800kV. Internationally, UHV usually refers to voltages of 1000kV and above. my country’s UHV technology has the characteristics of long distance, low loss, and large transmission capacity. At present, the power grids in the world are mainly based on 500 kV AC and 500 kV DC. The ±800 kV UHV DC transmission technology independently designed and developed by China is the DC transmission project with the highest voltage level, the longest transmission distance, and the largest transmission capacity in the world. It has completely independent intellectual property rights and AC transmission technology.
