According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China’s output of industrial robots in 2020 will reach 237,068 units, an increase of 19.1% year-on-year. At the same time, the operating income of industrial robot manufacturing enterprises above designated size is 53.17 billion yuan, and the total profit is 1.77 billion yuan; the operating income of the national service consumer robot manufacturing enterprises above the model is 10.31 billion yuan, and the total profit is 70 million yuan.
In terms of R&D patents, China successfully surpassed Japan, the United States, South Korea, Germany and other countries with developed robotics industries in 2019, ranking first in the world in R&D patents, and published patents accounted for 44% of the total.
But at the same time, China’s robotics industry is still dominated by assembly and contract processing, with insufficient control at the upstream industrial chain, and relatively few patents in core areas. At present, only a few leading Chinese robotics companies have core autonomous technologies, so China’s robotics industry is still in the stage of catching up with the world.
