The Mystery of the Disappearance of Six Celebrities in Chinese History

Time is like water, life is like a song. In the past, there were many people who left a strong mark in history, but they themselves “took off their clothes and hid their achievements and fame”. Among these people are thinkers, beauties, emperors and warlocks. Although the things they have done have been passed down through the ages, they themselves have disappeared mysteriously. No one can solve the mystery of their disappearance so far!

1. Lao Tzu goes out

Laozi, the ancestor of Taoism, was called the Supreme Laojun by later generations. His thoughts, no matter in ancient times or in modern times, can be a symbol of wisdom. Presidents of many circles in the United States agree with his saying that “governing a big country is like cooking a small fish”. Lao Tzu once served as a librarian in the Zhou Dynasty, during which time he was asked by Confucius for advice.
Later, I resigned from office and rode a green bull all the way west. When passing through Hangu Pass, Guan Lingyin left a book, so Lao Tzu wrote the “Tao Te Ching”, and continued westward after writing it. Since then, there has been no news of him, and there is no record of him in history.
No one knows where he went, but there are still various legends. Some say that he went to Qingyang Palace in Sichuan and became a baby there; some say that he went to India and accepted an apprentice called Sakyamuni; Some people say that in his later years, Lao Tzu settled down in Lintao, Gansu, and taught inner alchemy, health preservation and Taoism for the retired old man. Some people even speculate that he may have encountered war or robbery and died accidentally.

2. Xishi lake tour

Xi Shi, who was born with a beautiful country and a beautiful country, was once the head of the four beauties, but now she has become synonymous with beauties, and she is also the most beautiful spy in China. Found by Fan Li and sent to Wu by Yue King Goujian, the seduced Wu King Fu Chai has since stayed away from the government and has a sensual and sensual way. Later, the state of Wu was destroyed, and Xi Shi was considered a great hero, so where did she go?
Some people say that she was drowned by Gou Jian, but more folk legends believe that she was rescued by Fan Li. “Yue Jue Shu” records: “After the death of Wu, Xi Shi returned to Fan Li and went to Pan Wuhu.” Find out where the five lakes refer to. Is it Gusu? Is it Taihu Lake? Or Poyang Lake (Pengli Lake)? Some people say that Fan Li came to Dingtao, Shandong, and the five lakes refer to the waters of Liangshan.

3. Xu Fu to the East

Immortality is such an unattainable legend, but the talented Qin Shihuang believed it to be true. In order to find the elixir of life, Xu Fu led five hundred boys and girls and three thousand artisans across the sea. Since then, there has been no news about Xu Fu.
Where Xu Fu went, no one knows. But most people think he went to Japan to become Japan’s founder, Emperor Jimmu Nakata Gen. In the Ming Dynasty, the Japanese monk Kukai also told Ming Taizu the poem “Xu Fu Temple before Kumano Bee”. In the late Qing Dynasty, Li Shuchang, Huang Qiuxian and others, the ministers stationed in Japan, also visited Xu Fu’s tomb and wrote poems and essays. However, some people say that Xu Fu went to Taiwan or Ryukyu, and some people say that the navigation skills were poor at that time, and they were all sunk when encountering strong winds and waves. However, there is still no convincing answer as to where Xu Fu Dongdu went.

4. Song Taizu died suddenly

Song Taizu Zhao Kuangyin became emperor in a yellow robe and opened the Song Dynasty era, but he himself was only emperor for 16 years, and he died very suddenly. As a founding king, his death was not recorded in the official history, until the end of the Yuan Dynasty, when Prime Minister Tuotuo presided over the compilation of “Song History”, there were two simple sentences: “The emperor died in the Long Live Palace at the age of fifty. “” Empress Dowager Du was ordered to pass on the throne to Emperor Taizong.” It was later included in the “Siku Quanshu” by Ji Yun, so that it can be preserved today.
Why did Song Taizu die unexplainably? One theory is that he was killed by his younger brother Song Taizong, because Song Taizong happened to stay in the palace on the night Song Taizu died, and he ascended the throne in front of the spirit the day after his brother died. The emperor and the ministers have no objection, so it is hard to get rid of the suspicion of brother killing. Another way of saying is that Sima Guang recorded in “Sushui Jiwen” that after the death of Song Taizu, it was already four drums. Xiaozhang Song Hou sent someone to call Zhao Defang, the fourth son of Taizu’s Qin, to the palace, but the envoy went straight to the palace. Kaifeng government summoned Zhao Guangyi. Zhao Guangyi was shocked and hesitated to move forward. After being urged by the envoy, he walked into the palace under the snow. Based on this, it is believed that when Taizu died, Taizong was not in the bedroom, so it was impossible to “kill his brother”. The modern academic circles basically affirm that Song Taizu died unexpectedly, but there is no definite answer about the specific cause of death.

5. Where to find Jianwen

After the death of Ming Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang, the throne was passed on to his grandson Zhu Yunwen, known as Emperor Jianwen in history. After Emperor Jianwen came to power, he called on the whole country to restore the ritual, music and slavery of the Zhou Dynasty, and then cut down the power of the princes and uncles. Zhu Di, king of Yan, had no choice but to rebel. He started with 800 soldiers from the government, went all the way south, and finally defeated Emperor Jianwen, becoming the only prince in history who successfully rebelled.
When Zhu Di invaded Nanjing, the entire palace was engulfed in a conflagration. Zhu Yunwen, who had only been emperor for four years, mysteriously disappeared in the conflagration. So, where did Emperor Jianwen go? Maybe he burned himself in the fire, but some people think that he escaped from the palace through the tunnel, shaved his hair to become a monk, and wandered around the rivers and lakes. According to folk rumors, there are traces and legends of Emperor Jianwen in many places. Some say that Emperor Jianwen first fled to the Yunnan-Guizhou area, and then moved to the Nanyang area. Until now, there are still people in Dali, Yunnan who regard Emperor Jianwen as the originator.
In order to find Emperor Jianwen, Zhu Di even sent Zheng He on seven voyages to the West. As a result, Jianwen was not found, but it miraculously promoted cultural exchanges between the East and the West.

6. Chuang Wang’s life and death

In the last years of the Ming Dynasty, the people were in dire straits, and heroes all over the world rose up one after another. Among them, the Chuang Wang Li Zicheng was the strongest. After Li Zicheng entered Beijing, he occupied Chen Yuanyuan, causing Wu Sangui to lead the Qing soldiers into the pass.
What happened to Li Zicheng after he was defeated? Is he alive or dead? According to Azige, the Qing Jingyuan general who pursued Li Zicheng at that time, he returned to Beijing and said that Li Zicheng tried his best and took only 20 cronies. Besieged, unable to escape, hanged himself. But there are also different versions. In the early Qing Dynasty, Zhang Qiongbo, a fellow counselor in Yunnan, visited Jiashan Temple in Shimen on his way to take office, and talked with the abbot of the temple about the past and the present. A few years later, he visited Jiashan Temple again, and the abbot was dead. During the mourning, the abbot’s apprentice told him: The abbot is Li Zicheng, the mighty Chuang Wang, and it was his general Sun Mou who died in Jiugong Mountain.
During the Qianlong period, He, the magistrate of Lizhou, heard about this incident and went to Jiashan Temple to investigate Li Zicheng’s whereabouts. In the temple, he saw a portrait of Li Zicheng, who is said to be called “Monk Fengtianyu”. But whether Li Zicheng, the Chuang Wang, is alive or dead, has been debated endlessly in the historian circles, and has become a mystery for thousands of years.
