From the perspective of urban and rural structure, the urban resident population was 84.843 million, an increase of 17.06 million from the end of the previous year; the rural resident population was 55.162 million, a decrease of 12.39 million; the proportion of the urban population in the total population (urbanization rate) was 60.60%, which was 60.60% higher than the end of the previous year.
