Guangxi Arrests 91 Suspects Who Transported Foreigners Into The Country During The Epidemic

At present, the situation of preventing foreign epidemic outbreaks is still grim, but for illegal gains, a group of people are trying to transport foreigners to smuggle into the country, and even use speedboats to take the sea to avoid attacks. On June 16, the Fangchenggang Border Management Detachment of Guangxi notified a case of organizing others to cross the country (border) border. The gang of Jiangshan Border Police attacked a smuggling criminal gang and arrested 91 criminal suspects. Among them, 10 transporters were organized, 81 foreigners entered and exited illegally, and 3 vehicles and 1 speedboat were seized.

On December 27, 2019, on the Binhai Highway in Jiangshan Town, where Jiangshan Border Police Station was located, seven foreigners who entered the country illegally were seized from a van, and Chen Mou, who was suspected of transporting illegal immigrants, was arrested. After interrogation, the police found that there was a criminal gang behind the case, so a special task force was set up to carry out the investigation. On the morning of January 4, 2020, the civilian police intercepted a passenger car at the exit of the Binyang Expressway toll station in Nanning City based on the preliminary investigation work and seized 68 illegal foreigners from the vehicle.

With the outbreak this year, the group was forced to suspend operations. But since April, as the domestic epidemic situation has improved, the gang has been on the move. On April 11, the police learned that someone used a speedboat to take foreigners to sneak into the inland river from the sea, and then sneaked into the city. The police responded quickly, and linked the Hengjiang border checkpoint and the Dongxing border police station to intercept 3 suspects and 2 suspect vehicles. After passing the unannounced trial, the police arrested two foreigners who entered China illegally in Fangcheng District. It was also found that the core members of the smuggling gang were Chinese nationals Liangmou and Tangmou. They combined with overseas “snakeheads” to organize foreigners to enter the country illegally. Vehicles such as motorcycles and small trucks avoid customs and bypass cards and transport them to designated locations.
Subsequently, the police combined the investigation of the three cases, taking the 4.11 case as the main line and deepening the line to quickly and accurately attack the organizers, transporters and illegal immigration foreigners hiding in the Fangchenggang area, within half a month He successively arrested 6 transporters from Liang Mou, Tang Mou, overseas “Snakehead” Li Moujiu, Su Mouming and other organizations, 4 illegal entry and exit foreigners, and seized a speedboat involved in the case.
On June 12, the People’s Procuratorate of Dongxing City approved the arrest of Li Moujiu and Su Mouming, the “snakeheads” in the case, on suspicion of organizing others to cross the country (border) border. Currently, the case is under further investigation.
In addition, the reporter learned that with the effective control of the domestic epidemic, more foreign personnel want to smuggle from the Beilun River. At the beginning of May, Dongxing Border Management Department set up nearly one hundred night vision monitoring probes at important sealing and control points in the border area to enhance the ability to seal and control illegal entry. Up to now, a total of 89 batches of more than 200 stowaways have been found and disposed by the monitoring posts, which have been successfully blocked.
