All Incoming Beijing Personnel Will Be Tested For Nucleic Acids

This afternoon (March 24), a press conference on pneumonia epidemic prevention and control of new coronavirus infection was held in Beijing. Chen Bei, deputy secretary-general of the Beijing Municipal Government, said that starting at 00:00 on March 25, all immigrants from the Beijing port, regardless of their destination, will focus on isolation and observation on the spot and do nucleic acid testing.
According to reports, at present, the import risks caused by the rapid spread of overseas epidemics continue to increase, and the situation of external defense imports is extremely severe and complicated. As an important international port city, Beijing has become the top priority of preventing overseas epidemic import. Only by adopting more stringent prevention and control measures can the risk loopholes be blocked to the greatest extent and the security of the capital can be ensured.
On the basis of the measures currently in place for the centralized isolation of foreign personnel entering Beijing, Beijing has decided to implement the following measures from March 25 at 00:00:
All immigrants from the Beijing port, regardless of their destination, will be collected and observed in situ, and all nucleic acid tests will be performed. Within 14 days, all personnel entering Beijing from other ports will be collected and observed in isolation, and all nucleic acid tests will be performed. Isolation observation fees are at your own expense, and inspection fees are performed in accordance with relevant regulations such as whether to participate in basic medical insurance or purchase of commercial insurance.
Chen Bei said that all foreigners entering Beijing need to perform nucleic acid testing first, and those who are not suitable for centralized isolation for elderly people over 70 years of age, minors under 14 years of age, pregnant women and those with basic diseases are also required. First go to the centralized observation point for nucleic acid detection.
